Position Overview:
As a Support Tech, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless deployment of computers and associated hardware throughout the organization. Working in close collaboration with IT teams and end-users, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- New PC Setup: Unbox and set up new PCs, ensuring they are ready for deployment.
- Software Installation: Install the necessary software packages on newly deployed machines, adhering to established configurations.
- Device Distribution: Efficiently manage the shipment of devices to various organizational locations, ensuring timely delivery.
- User Onboarding: Assist in setting up new user accounts, including user profiles and access permissions, to ensure a smooth transition into the IT environment.
- Imaging: Utilize imaging tools and procedures to clone and deploy standardized system images, maintaining consistency and reliability across devices.
- Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality checks to validate hardware and software configurations, addressing any issues promptly.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues as they arise during deployment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of all deployment activities, including hardware inventory and software licenses.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security protocols, and ensure all deployments comply with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of PC hardware, operating systems, and software installation processes.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and consistent deployments.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with IT teams and end-users.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues.

- Shipping Experience: Familiarity with shipping processes and logistics is a plus.
