Network Engineer

Location: Houston Type: Contract To Hire Job #10866 Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure, with a primary focus on Fortinet, SonicWall, and Cisco switching technologies. Serve as the dedicated network engineering resource for Momentum Midstream, ensuring optimal network performance, security, and availability. Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical network solutions. Provide high-level support and act as an escalation point for network-related issues. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies. Proactively identify opportunities for network optimization and security enhancements. Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive presentations. Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering. Proven experience with Fortinet firewalls and a strong understanding of the Fortinet Security Fabric is highly preferred. Current Fortinet FCP (Fortinet Certified Professional) certification is mandatory. Proficiency with SonicWall firewalls and Cisco switching. Demonstrable experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-level network solutions. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently engage with executive-level management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
