Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and maintaining complex IT systems, with expertise in Red Hat Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash and Perl. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
- Work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements.
- Resolve software problem reports and provide specific input to system design.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debug existing software, correct defects, and integrate existing software into new or modified systems.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Develop and execute test procedures for software components.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system operations.
Qualifications:
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience:
- Five years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Three years of experience in the design, plan, installation, configuration, and sustainment of Red Hat Linux environments.
- Three years of experience in creating automation scripts using Bash/Perl scripting languages.
- One year of experience in implementing OS level clustering.
- Three years of experience performing Puppet system administration.
- Three years of experience installing software from various sources and applying patches.
- Three years of experience using Unix/Linux command line.
- Three years of experience with VMWare.
