Field Support Engineer

Location: Houston Type: Contract Job #11145 Seeking a seasoned, hands-on Field Support Technician to join a dynamic infrastructure team, providing critical technical support across multiple industrial plant environments. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to move beyond traditional desktop support and become the essential technical liaison for server and network operations in the field. The role requires regular travel to sites within specific regions, with all travel compensated. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary on-site technical resource for server and network infrastructure, performing hands-on tasks like hardware swaps and system troubleshooting. Travel on a scheduled basis to multiple plant sites in areas including North Texas, the Chicago region, and the greater Northeast. Collaborate with central server and network teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including networking switches and server failures. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience that extends significantly beyond basic desktop support, including familiarity with servers and networking. Proven ability to perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of server and networking hardware in a live operational environment. Current residency within the North Texas, Chicago, or Northeast regions to facilitate regular travel to assigned plant locations. Experience in a field service, plant, or manufacturing environment where safety protocols are strictly followed.
