Position: Azure Systems Administrator
Location: Houston, TX 77056 – Hybrid
- Design, integrate, and manage enterprise applications within Microsoft Azure, ensuring smooth data delivery to all users.
- Administer and offer comprehensive support for SharePoint, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Single Sign-On functionalities.
- Collaborate on project implementations encompassing Azure Site Recovery, Docker or similar solutions, auto-scaling, load balancing, and Azure AD.
- Provide expert-level Tier 3 support for escalated issues from the helpdesk, ensuring efficient problem resolution.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
- Proficiency in automating processes using PowerShell scripts for streamlining operational tasks.
- Extensive expertise in Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and user support.
- Proven track record in managing IT server and application projects.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining server systems and network infrastructure.
Preferred Skills and Background
- Advanced knowledge in high availability, scalability, and performance optimization (e.g., distributed deployments, HTTP traffic load balancing, content caching, and data replication).
- Experience in identity and access management including Active Directory and LDAP.
- Proficiency in disaster recovery implementations.
- Strong understanding and practical experience in system and network security.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and delivery models, with emphasis on Microsoft Azure and exposure to other platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer technology or equivalent education and experience in the field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in system administration and architecture.
- 3+ years of related work experience with Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS Windows, Virtual Machines, Server OS, and Cloud architecture.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call support duties.
