Job Summary: The Network Administrator is a position that allows one an opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in our client's network infrastructure, products and services. As a member of the Corporate IT Team, the Network Administrator will be the primary individual administering and maintaining corporate network infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to, corporate network connectivity, internet access and primary ISP contact, firewall management, WiFi management, network monitoring and troubleshooting, data cabling, port mapping/toning and diagnosing workstation network issues. All physical and logical aspects of network management are included in the responsibilities of this role. This role will require after-hours and/or weekend work as needed for changes and maintenance. This role also requires in-person attendance in the Dallas office Monday- Friday during the work week.

1.0 Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity and performance at both the physical and logical layers
• Monitor and assume responsibility for any incoming network-related tickets submitted to the Corporate IT team
• Abide by ticket response and resolution SLAs that are defined by ITManagement
• Coordinate and support patching and software updates for all physical network hardware
• Promote guidelines and policies for security in the corporate network
• Promote responsible usage and care of corporate equipment
• Act as first point of contact with Internet Service Providers and 3rd party networking resources
• Support switches at core, distribution, and access layer
• Support wireless network infrastructure, including wireless LAN controllers, wireless access points and day-to-day troubleshooting
• Manage inventory of networking licenses and networking equipment
• Manage and support network related issues with branch offices
• Support Cisco AnyConnect client issues, troubleshooting and updates
• Support and troubleshoot VoIP-related network activity and issues
• Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement
• Thoroughly document all network configurations and changes
• Grow Cisco infrastructure skillset through formal education and Cisco certifications that align with the network roadmap
• Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
• All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, Management or their Supervisor
• Other tasks and projects as directed by management

2.0 Requirements
2.1 Education and Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience
• Cisco CCNA certification a plus (Wireless, Security, Routing and Switching, or some combination thereof)

2.2 Knowledge and Skills
• Understand the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate network infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, Layer 2 Switching, WiFi, Client VPN, etc.
• Desire and experience leading and coordinating projects, as well as be able to work in a team environment
• Desire to learn and progress down a network-focused, Cisco-specific education and certification path
• Demonstrate personal initiative
• Desire to assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
