Job Summary: The Mobile Developer position provides individuals an opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in our client's products and services. As a member of our client's Products Team, the Mobile Developer is responsible for developing native mobile applications. The position exposes individuals to the complete Software Development Life Cycle.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain native mobile applications using Kotlin or Swift programming language
- Implement new features following SOLID design principles and our clients mobile architecture guidelines
- Create secure, scalable, testable, documented applications that can grow over time
- Work within and across Agile teams to develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
- Write clean, efficient, well-formatted, well-documented code following current best practices/SOPs
- Maintain parity between iOS and Android mobile applications in our client’s portfolio
- Write unit tests assuring code coverage of 85% or greater
- Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and
- ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
- All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, our client's
- Management or their Supervisor
- Other tasks and projects as directed by management
Requirements
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and Skills
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying mobile applications for iOS and Android
- 3+ years of experience working with REST based APIs
- 2+ years of building mobile applications using React Native
- Proficient understanding of Kotlin or Swift
- Portfolio or sample of past work or projects that have been published to the App Store/Google Play
- Experience working in an agile environment to quickly iterate and deliver features to users
- Experience using version-control system (Git)
- Experience with unit testing
- Experience within a Microsoft Azure hosted environment / ecosystem / services
- Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail applications
- Demonstrate personal initiative
- Ability to work effectively with various team members across functional groups
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
- Desire to assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Physical and Safety Requirements
- Sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing and/or speaking at least 8 hours per day
- Able to regularly lift and move up to 15 lbs
